Australian King Parrots are among the most striking visitors to eastern Australia’s forests and gardens. The males glow with vivid red heads and breasts contrasted against rich green backs and wings, while females wear elegant shades of green with subtle red highlights. Usually seen in pairs or small family groups, they move quietly through the canopy, feeding on seeds, fruits and blossoms. Their gentle presence and brilliant colour make them a treasured sight in any backyard habitat.
