Red-and-blue macaws, more commonly known as scarlet macaws, have brilliant red bodies, accented with bold blue and yellow feathers. These intelligent and social parrots inhabit tropical rainforests, often flying in pairs or small flocks, their loud calls echoing through the canopy. Their powerful beaks easily crack open nuts and seeds, while their strong feet allow precise movement through the trees. Sadly, deforestation and illegal pet trade have reduced their numbers in the wild.
