Hyacinth Macaws are the largest flying parrots in the world and with brilliant cobalt-blue plumage, striking yellow facial markings, and powerful curved beaks, they are both beautiful and bold. Native to the Pantanal, Cerrado, and Amazon regions, they are often seen in pairs or small groups, feeding on hard nuts using their incredibly strong beaks. Sadly, hyacinth macaws are endangered due to habitat loss and illegal trade.
